Alright then, Update time.

Where to begin, oh where to begin indeed.

So in January everything seemed to be on track to start the comic up at the beginning of February. We purchased the domain and began doing the opening pages of the comic while also doing the graphics for the site. Everything looked good...

And then real life happened.

So I had to retake a college course and that caused me to have to work twice as hard, which ate into my time like crazy. Add onto that the fact that my day job is moving furniture, which does not pay good enough for having to haul 30 - 60 pieces of furniture a day let me tell you, and having to wake up at freaking 5 am every morning just to make the hour trip to work...

And those are just MY problems. I won't even get into Kylee's fun life times these past two months.

So I guess that leads to the big question: "What about OP?"

Well I can answer probably the biggest concern. No we are not stopping work on it, just got a bit delayed.

Currently I am finishing up some work from my classes and trying to make time in my schedule for drawing. The drawing you see at the top of this post is the first drawing I had the chance to do in over 6 weeks. (I am not joking.)

Thanks for sticking with us over the past year, I know it has been a rough ride and I assure you both myself and Kylee appreciate your patronage and patience. I can only hope that you all enjoy OP once it is finally up and running.

Cheers!

Banner art!

Banner draft! Yayz!

I won't lie to you guys and gals, it is tough for me to get drawing time in, so I'm getting a bit rusty.

We are shooting for the site to be ready next week, and that is a deadline I am fairly set on. The domain is already purchased and the site is under construction now, so we are in the final stretch.

Thanks for following along! :D

Cheers!

Overpowered

Overpowered, fire proof (mostly) and naked = Raus

A scribble that RA sent me, colouring this was a nice break from fussing with ComicPress. It's not quite what I had envisioned. It's supposed to look like he's walking away from a large fire, I hope that comes across. If not, just enjoy the smexy! =D

Cross your fingers for us, we're madly trying to get the artwork for the OP site done and set up. If all goes well, the site should be up the end of this week or early next week.

Update time!

Yes I know I've used this image before, but it fits!
Have a seat, I have a tale to tell!

So I had a pretty good time on vacation, it was nice to see home again for the holidays. Unfortunately I caught the flu literally 2 days after returning home, so I am a bit behind on my getting everything ready.

What luck eh?

No problem though, I'm already working on the website as we speak. My biggest issue so far has been fucking around with setting up comic press (I am terrible at anything that even slightly RESEMBLES code or html). It's taking a bit of time but I still think we are on target for a late January startup.

I'll post some WIP stuff as I get into the comic site being finished and I think I'll even try to do a livestream of page 1 being lined.

Other than that I don't think I really have much else to update on, so I will leave you with this quote from one of my favorite philosophers :

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

All 10 of the prologue pages are now lined and only page 10 remains to be colored! (And Kylee is hard at work on that one.)

So what does that mean?

Well it means that after I return from my trip home for the holidays we are going to get the site for the comic up, and the comic will go live. I know it's been a long road getting here but it is happening, and soon.

The page format has been changed a bit, and if all goes according to plan the comic will be updating 2-3 times a week.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season, whatever holiday you choose to celebrate, and I look forward to launching OP.

And here is a sneak peek at one of the pages drafted so far:

Cheers!

Startled Bird Plushies

That poor startled bird has been immortalized in fleece :D
This one was 100% hand sewn, and since it's the prototype, he doesn't quite stand on his own. The rest will still be handmade, but it will be with the help of a machine. And they will stand up on their own.
He is 7" tall to the top of his head and roughly 10" long to the end of his tail.

Pre-sale Prices (before OP launches on its own site):
Bird: $20 ea
Shipping: $10 to anywhere (ships from Canada)

After the launch (because I won't have as much time to make them):
Bird: $25 ea
Shipping: $15 to anywhere (still ships from Canada)

If you're a do-it-yourself kind of person, the pattern will be made available shortly as a PDF for $5.

Shipments will be processed in the order they were received.
If you wish to buy a bird, shoot me an e-mail at kyleehavoc@gmail.com with your name and mailing address. Payments can be sent via Paypal to the above e-mail.
At present, the Startled Bird Plush is only available on the blog.

I'm on a horse!

Page 8 coloured and ready for dialogue, which means only 2 pages left for the opening!
