In this rendition she won't have the fur tufts between skin and scales. RA wanted a version of her where her scales blended into her skin. Her tail (I just finished that part today) is extended so that the colour and scales crawl up her back a bit and blend into everything else.
Playing around with scales. I think that's about how I want them to look.
Nice. I only hope that the difference between the skin and the tail (in term of light and texture quality) won't be too obvious.
